Although I feel as if my multi-year book project has finally and thankfully come to an end, this is really only just the beginning.
With around 300,000 new book titles published each year, the task of getting the word out to the world about my new book is going to take a real marketing effort.
Identity Theft Secrets: Exposing The Tricks Of The Trade, has already started to get some attention. I’m grateful that the book won an “Editor’s Choice Award” due to the timeliness and relevance of the subject matter. The book has also earned a prestigious second distinction called “Rising Star Award” because of its’ commercial marketing potential. We are also shooting for wide distribution into college, university and public library collections.
My goal is to achieve maximum distribution in a foaming sea of new titles. Of course Identity Theft Secrets will be available online as well as in local brick and mortar bookstores, giving it the widest possible audience.
I will be able to reach and help more readers with my message. What is the message? My readers will be effectively educated, equipped and empowered to help their loved ones and their businesses to Deter, Detect and Defend against the fastest growing, most under-prosecuted crime in the United States.
As I point out in the book, one strain of ID Theft, cyber-crime has already surpassed drug trafficking as a criminal enterprise. The topic is hot and just one good idea might save someone from becoming the next victim.
A credit protection tip I shared today at a luncheon, caused one man to reach into his wallet and examine one of his credit cards. That single protection tip shared at lunch could potentially prevent some future financial grief and the gentleman thanked me for “revealing” that little secret. Secrets like that one are what this book is all about! I tip as many of them as I can.
What are some reviewers saying?
“Dale Penn de-mystifies identity theft. This book is not just an easy read, it is a must read!”
Deborah Call, Associate Dean, USC School of Law
“This book contains the essentials on how to make you a smaller target…the prevention tips could help keep anyone from becoming the next victim.”
Brian Corcoran, LA County Sheriff’s Department
I hope you will pick up a copy of Identity Theft Secrets at your local retailer or wherever books are sold. I would also love it if you would share/like this post with your friends and help me to get the message out.
Do you have any cool suggestions for a book launch contest? Let me hear from you!
